The Ventress Memorial Library will participate in the 2008 Statewide Summer Reading Program : Wild Reads at the Ventress Memorial Library. The program is geared to children entering Kindergarten through grade six. Children may either be reading on their own or read to by an adult. We have added several drop in story times for our youngest patrons, in addition to the program for our school aged participants.
Please note, on our schedule of events some activities are limited either by the number or by the ages of the children who may participate and require pre-registration. General sign up for Wild Reads at the Ventress Memorial Library begins Monday June 16th. The first 200 children to sign up to participate in the |

program will receive a plastic book bag, pencil, bookmark, reading record and a tattoo.
In addition to the many activities we will be offering to summer reading club members, there will be a weekly drawing for gift certificates to Borders Bookshop, as well as a grand prize drawing for a special prize at the conclusion of the summer reading program.
Also, all children who complete the program will be eligible to receive a gift certificate for a free ice cream cone at Dairy Queen.
